Suspect Sought in Natchitoches Home Invasion Killing

NATCHITOCHES, La. (AP) - A search was underway late Monday for a man suspected in a weekend killing in northern Natchitoches Parish.

The home-invasion death happened late Sunday in Creston.

The victim was identified as 37-year-old Ted Charles Brou (Broh). He was pronounced dead at the scene from an apparent gunshot wound.

An arrest warrant was issued for 48-year-old Alan Virgil Brumfield of Natchitoches. Natchitoches authorities said he was considered armed and dangerous.

Brumfield was described as a white male about 5' 10" tall, weighing about 150 pounds with partially gray hair and hazel eyes. Brumfield was believed to be driving a blue Nissan Sentra rented from Hertz. It had a Florida license. The number was 386LYE.
