Texas woman arrested in Alexandria for shoplifting

ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB News Channel 5) – A Texas woman has been arrested for shoplifting.

Alexandria police said they arrested Leann M. Bordelon, 25, of Nacogdoches, Texas, and charged her with one count of theft by shoplifting under $500.00, one count Ill possession of stolen things worth $500-$1, 500, one count Ill possession of stolen things under $500 and one count of forgery.

Officers were flagged down by a Loss Prevention Officer while in the area of Marshall's, located in the 2600 Block of South MacArthur Drive on Thursday. Officers were advised that a female was in the store shoplifting.

The female was later identified as Bordelon, according to APD. She allegedly had a stolen purse and stolen ID's in her possession.

Bordelon was arrested and transported to the Rapides Parish Detention Center.

This investigation is ongoing. No other details have been released.
