ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB News Channel 5) - It's science week at the T.R.E.E. House Foundation in Alexandria and a new exhibit is on display.

The Sciport Gee Whiz Science Carnival is a hands on exploration of how things work.

From robots to pizza themed math equations to a laser harp, the exhibit gives kids and adults a chance to create their own experiments and learn from a setting outside the classroom.

"They're going to do a lot of self exploration, they're going to find out for the most part what everything is, how to put together a circuit, they really want to see how to make the light bulb light up or inside of a circuit see how many light bulbs they can light up," said Kenneth Smith.

Included at the exhibit is the "Green City" robotics lab where kids can program Lego robots to do tasks and save a pretend city. the Gee Whiz Science Carnival will be at the T.R.E.E. House through October 19th
