There is One area of interest in the Atlantic Basin.
Lorenzo (Tropical Storm)
T.S.Lorenzois about 785mi WSW of Bermuda and is centered at 29.5N& 52.0W with Max sustained winds of 50mph and a Min central Pressure of 1003mb (29.62"). This system is moving ENE (075) at 8 mph.
Lorenzo is becoming a little better organized and this shows in its cloud pattern during the past 12 hours. A burst of convection is transitioning into dense overcast with a band wrapping around the Northern half of the center of circulation.
Any further intensification of Lorenzo (if any) is likely to occur soon. This T.S. Will continue to move into an area that is not conducive for much more development. Lorenzo will gradually encounter increasing NW shear and move over gradually decreasing SSTs (Sea Surface Temperatures) during the next 24 hours.
Elsewhere, tropical development is not expected during the next 48 hours.
There is an area in the South-Central Caribbean Sea that we will be monitoring for Tropical Development.
