2013 Natchitoches Treasures announced

NATCHITOCHES, La. (KALB News Channel 5) - A recognition ceremony will be held on Thurs., Oct.  24, at 11 a.m.  It's to honor this year's group of Natchitoches Treasures.   The event will be located at 750 Second Street.

The Natchitoches Treasures are an elite group of Natchitoches residents of retirement age who have made a lasting contribution to the community through their generosity, service, volunteerism and spirit.

The 2013 Natchitoches Treasures were selected by a committee of those who have previously been as a Natchitoches Treasure.  Natchitoches Treasures have been selected each year since 2008. 

The 20013 Natchitoches treasures are  Dr. Archie Francis Breazeal Jr., Sadie Maggio Dark,  Dr. Colleen Lancaster, Mary Lee Posey, and the late Margaret Harling. 

Light refreshments will be served and the public is invited to attend.
