ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB News Channel 5) - A national bank is investing some manpower in a local foundation.

Capital One's Central Louisiana team is helping the T.R.E.E. house Children's Museum with a new coat of paint and donated desks and office supplies.

1,400 capital one employees throughout Louisiana are volunteering this week and they say they hope to spend 4,500 hours helping their community.

"One of the things we do is investing for good, it's on the back of my T-shirt, and this is a way we invest for good. Building up the community, doing things where people need to be, where children can get more benefit so that's why we're here," said Kermit Pharris.

Capital One employees have also volunteered at the Central Louisiana Food Bank and Northwood High School.
