Early voting begins Saturday for Nov. 16 election

BATON ROUGE, La. (KALB News Channel  5)—People can register to vote early starting Saturday, Nov. 2nd.

Early voting will run through Nov. 9th from 8:30 a.m.  to 6 p.m., daily, but this excludes  Sunday, Nov. 3.

Anyone want to vote early may do so in person at their parish Registrar of Voters' Office. They can also go to designated locations including the State Archives in Baton Rouge.

 For a complete listing of early voting locations, visit www.sos.la.gov/ElectionsAndVoting/Pages/EarlyVotingLocations.aspx. Voters can also utilize the Secretary of State's smartphone app, GeauxVote Mobile, as well as the GeauxVote.com Web page to find out where to vote, what's on their ballot and their voting districts.

Saturday, Nov. 16, elections will be held in the following 40 parishes:

Avoyelles, Bienville, Calcasieu, Caldwell, Cameron, Catahoula, Concordia, East Baton Rouge, East Carroll, East Feliciana, Franklin, Grant, Jackson, Jefferson, Jefferson Davis, Lafourche, LaSalle, Lincoln, Madison, Morehouse, Orleans, Ouachita, Plaquemines, Rapides, Richland, St. Helena, St. John the Baptist, St. Landry, St. Mary, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, Tensas, Terrebonne, Vernon, Washington, Webster, West Baton Rouge, West Carroll, West Feliciana and Winn.
