The Louisiana Book Festival will be held Nov. 2

BATON ROUGE, La. (KALB News Channel 5) The Louisiana Book Festival celebrates its 10th anniversary this weekend.

On November 2, the Louisiana Book Festival will return for its 10th anniversary from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in downtown Baton Rouge. Nearly 200 authors and panelists will present and discuss their latest works.

The Louisiana Book Festival features presentations by local, Southern and national bestselling authors, exhibits, panel discussions, children and teen activities, live music and food. The Festival's lineup includes Rick Bragg, Ernest Gaines, Louis Gossett Jr., Shirley Ann Grau, William Joyce, Wally Lamb, Alan Robertson, George Rodrigue, Zachary Richard and Christine Wiltz.

This award winning literary celebration is free and open to the public. The Festival footprint includes the State Library of Louisiana, Louisiana State Capitol, Capitol Park Museum and tents on Spanish Town Road and North Fourth Street.
