Wednesday's cold front was felt today across central Louisiana.
Morning lows were some twenty degrees lower than Wednesday's readings. Natchitoches was the cool spot with a low of 42 degrees while Eunice and Oakdale stayed up at 50 degrees. The daily average is 48 and the record is 27 set in 1959.
Despite clearing skies, afternoon high temperatures only managed to rise about 15-20 degrees from morning lows. Natchez, Miss. only reached 57 degrees but Bellwood hit 65 degrees. Normally, we see a high of 73 and the record is 87 in 1906.
Temperatures bottom out tonight with lows ranging from 36 to 42 degrees.
