Posted: Updated:

RAPIDES PARISH, La. (KALB News Channel 5) An investigation by Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office Detectives leads to multiple arrests.

According to the Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office, on October 30, Deputies assigned to the England Airpark responded to a call in reference to Theft of Motor Vehicle Fuel. Upon contact with the complainant, it was determined approximately 500 gallons of motor vehicle fuel was stolen from a fuel tank on Perimeter Road.  This fuel tank was owned by some contractors doing work at the airpark.  RPSO Detectives were assigned the case and started their investigation.  Through their investigation, Detectives developed suspect information which they passed on to the Patrol Division.

According to RPSO, on November 13, Patrol Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was of interest for a traffic violation.  Detectives working the case responded and interviewed the subject which lead to other suspects in the case.  After further investigation, arrest warrants for individuals involved in stealing the fuel were obtained.

According to RPSO, those arrested were Luther Hunter III and Brayden Hunter of Alexandria, Tyler Wood and Tyler Adams of Boyce and a Juvenile from Alexandria.  RPSO said Wood, both Hunters and the juvenile were each charged with one count of Theft of Motor Vehicle Fuel over $500 and one count of Criminal Trespassing. Tyler Adams was charged with one count of Theft of Motor Vehicle Fuel over $500, one count of Criminal Trespassing and one count of Criminal Damage to Property.

Detectives said they determined the individuals involved had been getting fuel for over a month. RPSO said all of the suspects except the juvenile were booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center and later released on bond. The juvenile was cited and released to his parents. Detectives said the investigation is continuing and more arrests may be made.
