Woman Killed in Sabine Parish Crash

SABINE PARISH, La. (KALB News Channel 5) - Early Saturday morning, a single vehicle crash killed a young woman from Goldonna, LA that was not wearing her seatbelt.

According to Louisiana State Police, troopers responded to a crash around 3:00 a.m. Saturday morning, which occurred on LA Hwy 474 west of Florien, LA. 

The crash involved a 2005 Chevrolet Impala, driven by McKenna B. Sanders. 

The Chevrolet was eastbound on LA Hwy 474 when Sanders lost control and exited the right side of the roadway.

After exiting the roadway, Sanders overcorrected her vehicle before reentering LA Hwy 474 and exiting the left side, colliding with a tree and a utility pole. 

Sanders was pronounced dead.

Routine toxicology tests are pending.  The crash remains under investigation.
