RPSO: Arrest made in stabbing

RAPIDES PARISH, La. (KALB News Channel 5) The Rapides Parish Sheriff's Offices arrests woman for Aggravated 2nd Degree Battery.

According to the Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office, on November 15, at approximately 8:45 p.m., deputies responded to a report of a disturbance at 50 L. Stafford Rd. in Pineville. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the victim lying on the back porch of the residence with knife wounds to the chest. RPSO said the suspect, later identified as Monica Perry, 50, was detained and medical attention was given to the victim until he was transported to Rapides Regional Trauma Center by Acadian Ambulance. RPSO Detectives and Crime Scene Unit also responded to the scene. 

According to RPSO, upon further investigation, detectives determined there had been an altercation earlier which resulted in the victim being stabbed. RPSO said Perry was transported to the Rapides Parish Detention Center and booked for Aggravated 2nd Degree Battery. According to RPSO Perry remains in the Rapides Parish Detention Center on a $5000.00 bond.

UPDATE ON VICTIM CONDITION:

According to RPSO, victim is in fair condition. This means vital signs are stable and within normal limits.
