Highs are expected to reach only the lower 40's for much of Cenla tomorrow, and some areas toward the north may not even get out of the 30's! The next couple days are definitely going to be wet for us. Hopefully by Tuesday evening, or early Wednesday, we should be rain free. However, the cold weather will stick around for a while.
The circulation around an area of high pressure currently in the Midwest is bringing us the cold air. A shortwave system in the NW gulf with accompanying moisture will bring us the wet conditions tomorrow and into Tuesday. Expect quite a bit of rain for Monday. Some of us are already starting to see the rain tonight. A thunderstorm or two may also be possible.
Warm rain coats are suggested; wool being the best material for conditions such as this. While we may not experience torrential rain, 1-3 inches may be possible in areas along with some minor street flooding.
Thanksgiving still looks beautiful, but very cold!
