RPSO: teen arrested for vandalizing Buckeye football field

DEVILLE, La. (KALB News Channel 5) - A Buckeye student has been arrested for vandalizing the Buckeye High School football field.

The Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office arrested Taylor Deville, 18, of Deville and charged him with criminal trespassing and criminal damage to property.

The school resource officer at Buckeye found the damage on December 9th.

Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office said a lock was cut and a vehicle was driven across the field, leaving ruts from one end to the other. The estimated damage done to the football field is from $10,000 to $20,000

Detectives identified Deville and two juveniles as suspects.

Deville was booked and released on bond.

The juveniles were released to their parents.
