APD arrest two men in burglary

ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB News Channel 5) Alexandria Police arrest two men in the process of a burglary.

According to the Alexandria Police Department, on Dec. 9, Police arrested Mitchell R. Augustine Jr., 33, of Pineville and Robert Sampson, 38, of Alexandria and charged them each with one count of simple burglary.

APD said Officers were informed of a burglary taking place at the vacant residence of 300 Roberts St., Alexandria. Upon arrival at the scene, Officers arrested Augustine and Sampson, who had loaded a refrigerator and stove in a truck.

APD said this incident is still under investigation and no other details are available for release at this time.
