Former Colfax Police Chief facing more charges

GRANT PARISH, La. (KALB News Channel 5) Former Colfax Police Chief Charles Stickell faces more charges following an ongoing investigation.

According to the Grant Parish Sheriff's Office, Charles Stickell, the former Chief of Police of Colfax, was arrested on Dec. 12 on additional charges after his previous arrest.

The ongoing investigation started after it was discovered that Stickell had taken property owned by the Town of Colfax and evidence from the Colfax Police Department and sold and/or pawned it at a pawn shop in Rapides Parish. 

GPSO said Charles Stickell, 43, was arrested for 22 counts of Theft of a Firearm, Theft over $1,500, and Theft over $500 but less than $1,500. He was booked into the Grant Parish Detention Center and a bond was set at $25,000.
