APD Officers make burglary arrest

ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB News Channel 5) Police: Alexandria woman arrested for a burglary last month.

According to the Alexandria Police Department, on Dec. 17, Police arrested Shandreka Laneheart for a burglary in November. 

APD said officers located Laneheart at a residence on East Sycamore to serve a warrant for her arrest from a burglary on West Sycamore on Nov. 9, 2013.

Police said Laneheart was searched, and drugs were found in her pocket. APD said Laneheart, 29, of Alexandria was taken into custody and charged with possession of CDS II, resisting an officer, simple assault and burglary.

APD said this case is still under investigation.
