NPSO Deputies arrest man on felony drug charges

NATCHITOCHES, La. (KALB News Channel 5) Bossier man arrested in Campti area for illegal drug possession.

According to Natchitoches Parish Sheriff Victor Jones Jr., on Dec 21, Deputies arrested a Bossier Parish man on felony drug charges.

Jones said Deputies assigned to the NPSO Patrol Division were working in the Campti area and stopped a vehicle for traffic violations. During the traffic stop, Jones said deputies learned a firearm and suspected marijuana were in the vehicle. Deputies seized suspected marijuana, marijuana cigarettes and a Hi Point .380 semi-automatic pistol.

Jones said Joshua Chase Leriche, 36, of Bossier City, was arrested and booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center where he awaits bond. Leriche was charged with Possession of CDS Schedule I Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Illegal Possession of a Firearm during a Narcotics Offense and traffic offenses.

Deputies Jason Raynes and John Axsom made the arrest with the assistance of the Natchitoches Multi-jurisdictional Drug Task Force.
