SLIDELL, La. (AP) - Police have arrested a man they say shot into a crowd outside a bar, killing two people and wounding six others.

Slidell Police Det. Daniel Seuzeneau says 22-year-old Jamieon Chatman was arrested Saturday morning at the Maurice, La., home of a friend who was hiding him.

Chatman, charged with two counts of second-degree murder and six counts of attempted second-degree murder, was brought back to Slidell.

The shooting happened as bars were closing early Thursday morning. Killed were 22-year-old Errol Scott and 23-year-old Mark Womack, both from Slidell.

Police earlier said Scott was a target of the shooting, but they now say Scott, Womack and the six people injured were all bystanders. Four of the injured have been released from hospitals.
Seuzeneau says police expect to make more arrests.
