VPSO search for missing man

VERNON PARISH, La. (KALB News Channel 5) The Vernon Parish Sheriff's Office asks for help locating a missing man.

On Dec. 30, Sheriff Sam Craft of the Vernon Parish Sheriff's Office requested the public's assistance in locating a missing Vernon Parish man. Sheriff Craft said Willis Smith, 26, is a 5'11, 180 lb. black male. Smith was last seen wearing a white thermal type shirt and camouflage pants.

Family members of Smith said he was last seen on Dec. 29, 2013, in the area of Pine Rd. in Leesville. The Vernon Parish Sheriff's Office is seeking any information regarding Smith's whereabouts.

According to family members, Smith was prescribed medication for neurological purposes, and they believe he had not taken them at the time he was last seen.
