RPSO: Arrests made in burglary investigations

RAPIDES PARISH, La. (KALB News Channel 5) Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office arrests two suspects in burglary investigations.

According to the Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office, on Nov.  1, 2013, deputies responded to a burglary in the Kelley Land subdivision area, and the victim alleged someone stole some large flat screen televisions. The following day, the victim made contact with Bruce Conner, 18, of Alexandria, who admitted to taking the televisions and returned one of them. The victim called RPSO, and a deputy responded to the scene and arrested Conner. RPSO said Conner was charged with one count of Simple Burglary and transported to the Rapides Parish Detention Center. He was later released on a $3500.00 bond.

RPSO said on Nov. 10, 2013, deputies responded another burglary in the Kelley Land subdivision area where a flat screen television, along with some other items, had allegedly been taken from the residence. Both cases were turned over to Detectives for further investigation. RPSO said Detectives identified Conner and Dartravious Darrnell Green, 20, of Alexandria, as suspects. During the investigation, detectives obtained warrants for Green for both burglaries and an additional warrant on Conner for the second burglary.

RPSO said both suspects were located and arrested by Detectives and Patrol Deputies. Conner was charged with one count Burglary of a Dwelling and two counts Criminal Conspiracy. Green was charged with two counts Burglary of a Dwelling and two counts of Criminal Conspiracy. Both were booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center where they remain.
