The full effect of Sunday's cold front was felt this morning as temperatures fell to the lowest level in at least four years.

Morning lows ranged through the teens. Folks in Leesville, Fairfield, and Natchez, Miss. saw their thermometers at 13 degrees. Jena was a close second with 14 degrees. Bunkie was the "warm" spot with a low of 20 degrees. The min temp at International Airport (AEX) was 17. The long-term daily average is 39 and the former record was18 set in 1970.

A mostly sunny sky brought afternoon highs into the 30s and the 40s. Natchez, Miss. managed 34 degrees while Bellwood hit 45 degrees. The long-term daily average is 59 and the record is 80 set in 1978.

A third very cold night is in the forecast tonight before temperatures moderate Wednesday afternoon.
