Police: Pineville High student arrested for 'threatening' Facebook post

PINEVILLE, La. (KALB News Channel 5) According to Pineville Police, a Pineville High Student was arrested for "terrorizing" on social media.

On Jan. 9, 2014, the Pineville Police Department received information from the Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office that a student from Pineville High School had made a post to a social media website threatening other students.

The Pineville Police Department made contact with the suspect, Christopher Carter, 17, at his residence in Pineville. While the investigation was ongoing officers said they were able to confirm that the threat was posted earlier that day to Facebook.

According to Pineville Police, Carter was arrested for "Terrorizing" and later booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center where his bond has been set at $50,000.00.
