Husband charged in death of missing Opelousas woman

ST. LANDRY, La. (KALB News Channel 5) Husband of Sandra Tillet charged in ongoing investigation.

On Dec. 18, St. Landry Deputies asked for help in the search of a missing Opelousas woman. Deputies said Sandra Tillet, 64, was last seen by neighbors in July 2013, and her body was later discovered. Sandra Tillet's husband Arthur Tillet was named a person of interest in the case.

According to the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office, Arthur Tillet has been charged with cruelty of the infirmed and unlawful disposal of remains. St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office Spokesperson Captain Megan Vizena said autopsy reports show the cause of Sandra Tillett's death as being undetermined.

Arthur Tillett is currently being held at the St. Landry Parish Jail with no bond. This investigation is ongoing and additional charges are possible.
