On January 20, beginning at 6:30 a.m., the annual Martin Luther King, Junior prayer breakfast will be held at Convention Hall. Rapides Parish Assistant District Attorney Monique Metoyer will be the featured speaker.  The breakfast is free and open to the public.

Then at 10 a.m. the parade will roll down Bolton Avenue and wind its way down Jackson Street and finally end up at the Riverfront Center in Downtown Alexandria.
