RAPIDES PARISH, La. (KALB News Channel 5) - Two people have been arrested for trying to sell stolen firearms.

According to the Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office, on January 14th, 2014, Detectives received information that two individuals were acting suspicious and were attempting to sell four guns at a local pawn shop.

Detectives identified the individuals and passed the information on to the Patrol Division.

On January 15th, information was obtained on the whereabouts of these two individuals by Patrol Deputies from the Deville Sub-station.

One of the suspects, identified as Colby Alex Deville, 18 of Deville, had an out of parish warrant for unauthorized use.  Deputies went to execute the warrant and Deville was located and taken into custody without incident along with a male juvenile.

During the arrest, detectives discovered nine other firearms linked to the burglary of firearms from the previous day.

Deville was transported to the Rapides Parish Detention Center and booked where he remains on a $6,250.00 bond.

The juvenile suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Renaissance Home where he remains in custody.

Detectives say the investigation is still ongoing and additional arrests are possible.
