Winter Weather Delays and Closings

Here's a list of closings and delays in the Central Louisiana area:

*Avoyelles Parish Public Schools: Closed Thursday, Jan. 30.

*Rapides Parish Public Schools: Closed Thursday, Jan. 30 but extracurricular activities will continue as scheduled.

*Menard High School: Closed Thursday, Jan. 30.

*All Catholic Schools in Rapides and Avoyelles Parishes: Closed Thursday, Jan. 30.

*Sacred Heart School in Moreauville: Closed Thursday, Jan. 30.

*St. Joseph Plaucheville: Closed Thursday, Jan. 30.

*St. Mary's Assumption School: Closed Thursday, Jan. 30.

*Catahoula Parish Public Schools: Closed  Thursday, Jan. 30.

*Grace Christian School: Closed Thursday, Jan. 30.

*Cabrini School: Closed Thursday, Jan. 30.

*LaSalle Parish Public Schools: Closed  Thursday, Jan. 30.

*Evangeline Parish Schools: Closed  Thursday, Jan. 30.

*LHSAA Hall of Fame Banquet: Canceled for Wed., Jan. 29, and rescheduled for Thurs., Jan 30.

*Fruit of the Loom (Vidalia): Closed until noon on Thursday, Jan. 30.

*Gateway Day School: Closed Thursday, Jan. 30.

*John Eskew Center: Closed  Thursday, Jan. 30.

*First United Methodist Preschool and Childcare: Closed  Thursday, Jan. 30.

*Alpine Christian School: Closed  Thursday, Jan. 30.

*Hope Baptist School: Closed  Thursday, Jan. 30.

*Temple Christian Academy: Closed Thursday, Jan. 30.

*Concordia Head Start Program: Closed Thursday, Jan. 30.

*CDI Early Head Start and Head Start Program (Rapides Parish): Closed Thursday, Jan. 30.

*Gateway Day School in Ball: Closed Thursday, Jan. 30

*Elderly Meal Program: Closed Thursday, Jan. 30 in Avoyelles, Catahoula, Concordia, Grant, LaSalle, Rapides and Winn parishes.

*Montessori Education Center: Closed Thursday, Jan. 30. Parent Education Night will be rescheduled.

*Alexandria Country Day School: Closed Thursday, Jan. 30 but the open house will be held at 5:30 p.m.

*St. James Episcopal Day School: Closed Thursday, Jan. 30.

*OLPS School (Alexandria): Closed Thursday, Jan. 30.

*Blue Cliff College: Medical Assisting Classes canceled for Jan. 30. Cosmetology and massage therapy classes will begin at 1 p.m.

*UniTech Training Academy: No classes on Thursday, Jan. 30. Employees report at 8 a.m.

*Alfred Booker Junior Academy: Closed Thursday, Jan. 30.

*NSU Campuses: Alexandria campuses Open Thursday, Jan 30 at 11am. All other campuses will open as scheduled. 

*LSUA Campus: Opens Thursday, Jan 30 at 11am. 

*Louisiana College: Opens Thursday, Jan 30.

*CLTCC Campuses: All locations Open Thursday, Jan 30 at Noon.

*Cenla Christian Academy: Closed Thursday, Jan. 30.

*Alexandria Daycare: Reopens Thursday, Jan. 30

*Calvary Day Care: Closed Thursday, Jan. 30.

*First Baptist Day School (Pineville): Closed Thursday, Jan. 30.

*Rapides Parish Courthouse: Open Thursday, Jan. 30.

*State Offices Closed: State offices in the following parishes will be closed on Thursday, Jan. 30:

Ascension, Assumption, Avoyelles, Catahoula, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Evangeline, Iberville, Lafayette, Livingston, Pointe Coupee, Rapides, St. Helena, St. James, St. John, St. Landry, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, Washington, West Baton Rouge, and West Feliciana.

    NATCHITOCHES, La. (KALB News Channel 5) - It may have been a gloomy Saturday, but that didn't stop some of the world's most talented pilots from taking to the skies. Families gathered today in Natchitoches for an aerobatic airshow.
