MONTGOMERY, La. (KALB News Channel 5) - Two female suspects have been arrested for vandalizing Montgomery High School.

According to the Montgomery Police Department, on Wednesday, January 22, when teachers and students arrived at Montgomery High School, they found profanity that was painted with industrial orange spray paint on the school bus and buildings around the campus.

The vandals also destroyed all of the electronic equipment in the press box in the football stadium and painted graffiti on the outside of the press box.

Grant Parish Sheriff employs a full-time School Resource Officer at MHS who worked with GPSO's Chief Detective Jody Bullock and Montgomery P.D. to review surveillance footage.

The officers identified two of the vandals as 17 year-old Dakota Leanne Chandler and 21 year-old Summer Gail Collins, both of Montgomery.

Before students finished their day at school, both female suspects were apprehended and charged with violating LA RS 14:56.4M (Criminal Damage to Property by Defacing with Graffiti) and LA RS 14:56 (Simple Criminal Damage to property.)

The identity of the third accomplice (a white male) is known and a warrant is being sought for his arrest.

The Grant Parish School Board is still working on obtaining cost estimates to repair and replace the damaged equipment.

All parties are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
