RPSO: Investigation leads to discovery of cocaine, two arrests

RAPIDES PARISH, La. (KALB News Channel 5) RPSO Detectives arrest two Alexandria residents after home investigation.

According to the Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office, on Jan. 21, 2012, RPSO Detectives executed a search warrant at the residence of Anthony Hamilton and Lashonda Thomas, 3707 14th Street, Alexandria, La. RPSO said during the investigation, detectives discovered powder cocaine was being sold from the residence. Detectives located approximately one ounce of powder cocaine, digital scales and other drug paraphernalia in the home. 

RPSO said Hamilton, 47, and Thomas, 34, were taken into custody without incident and booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center. They were both charged with Possession CDS II with intent to Distribute and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and remain in jail on a $10,250.00 bond each.
