Propane strain

ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB News Channel 5) - It's cold in a good portion of the United States and a lot of people are using propane to stay warm.

People in the northern United States are running very low on propane - and now that problem has spread to Cenla.

Buyers looked to the south for propane - where it can be more easily found. However - with our own cold and wintry conditions - it's putting a strain on the propane supply. What does that mean? It means prices are going up for some people.

"We as businessman want to have a good relationship with you, so we're going to absorb the cost,  it's temporary. As matter-of-fact it gave me an idea. I have learned out because of this next time we have the Katrina, another freeze, I'll plan ahead, and I'll Probably lower the price," said Charles Gibson.

Gibson says that the price has gone up 65 cents a gallon.
