RAPIDES PARISH, La. (KALB News Channel 5) – Family and friends are remembering two teens who were killed in a car wreck.

Logan Ammons and Gage Lavallie were killed in an automobile accident on January 27, 2014.
"The last thing I said to him was bye see you later."

Logan Ammons' family and friends are using this time to celebrate his life.

"Logan would drop everything to go help somebody. It didn't matter what it was," said Kristen Fletcher, Logan's mom.

Logan is described as being the life of the party, always helping put a smile on people's faces and having a good time.

"I mean you heard him before you got there. He was always happy, smiling, laughing you know," said Fletcher.

But most of all, Logan loved to tinker with trucks and four wheelers and take them out for a little mud riding.

"He tore up everything he touched from trucks to four wheelers to skate boards. If he put his hands on it he'd tell me ten minutes it was torn up. He liked to fix on things and he liked to go mud riding and that kind of thing."

"I remember he was saving up some money to get a new engine in his truck and it's sad because so much potential like in life. He was so young and it makes me really upset that he had to go so early you know," said Devin Jones, who knew Logan.

For Logan's mom, she wants people to remember him and the way he lived his life.

"This is going to be a celebration of his life, not a funeral. I want everyone there just remembering what a great guy he was."

The funeral for Lavallie is at Griffin Funeral Home and it begins at 10 a.m. on February 1st, followed by a prayer balloon launch.

Visitation for Ammons will begin February 1st at noon at Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Pineville.

Then a memorial service will be held at 4 p.m.
