The showers will linger into the overnight hours, and we may even see a little sun peek through on Monday. Expect cool conditions, then the clouds will come back, as well as the rain, and the warmer temperatures. By Wednesday, we'll be back to cool and partly sunny conditions. A broken record pattern? Maybe.
The front that passed us today will end up stalling and then retreating back north as a warm front Tuesday. Some extra energy is forecasted to come through, enhancing our rain chances for Tuesday, then the front will push off. We can expect thunderstorms throughout the day on Tuesday.
Later in the week, an arctic front will dig its way into the eastern United States, but so far I'm not expecting too much arctic air to filter this far south. Right now, all precipitation this weekend looks like it will stay in liquid form. No wintry weather.
