LPD arrest two in Wal-Mart theft investigation

LEESVILLE, La. (KALB News Channel 5) Two Leesville residents arrested in theft investigation.

According to the Leesville Police Department, Kala Grettner, 23, and Adam Borreggine, 37, were arrested for alleged theft at a local Wal-Mart. LPD said a report of suspected theft was filed by a Wal-Mart employee on Jan. 17, 2014. An officer with LPD made contact with the suspects on Jan. 27, and determined their involvement in the thefts.

According to LPD, Borreggine was booked into the Leesville City Jail on the charges of Contempt of Court Failure to Appear for Trial, Resisting an Officer, Theft-Over $500, three counts of Theft Under $500, and four counts of Criminal Conspiracy. His total bond was set at $37,000.00, but a bond has been denied for the Contempt of Court.

LPD said Grettner was booked on the charges of two counts of Theft under $500 and two counts of Criminal Conspiracy. Her total bond was set at $3,000.00.
