The Arts Central of Central Louisiana puts on ArtWalk 2014

Posted: Updated:

(KALB News Channel 5) - The Arts Council of Central Louisiana is getting ready for another ArtWalk!  The Arts Council of Central Louisiana's upcoming Spring 2014 ArtWalk will be on Friday, March 28 in Downtown Alexandria's Cultural Arts District from 4:00PM to 9:00PM.

ArtWalk is a free, family-oriented, self-guided walking tour of over 75 participating artists, vendors, and live entertainment acts, held semiannually.  Sidewalks, green spaces, and the alleys come alive as local artists demonstrate and sell their works of art.  All original artwork sold within the Cultural Arts District is tax-free.

The primary goal of the ArtWalk is to unite Central Louisiana's vibrant arts community.  The Spring 2014 ArtWalk will provide entertainment for all ages, bring in cultural tourists, and generate revenue within the Cultural Arts District of downtown Alexandria.

If you are a vendor, please fill out a vendor registration form.  You may find this form on the Arts Council of Central Louisiana's website at www.louisiana-arts.org.  There is an early registration fee of $45, which ends on February 28.  After February 28, the art vendor registration is $55.  The food vendor fee is $75.  There is a $5 additional charge for electricity.  Non-profits and children under 18 have a fee of just $10.
