Disturbance call leads to drug bust

PINEVILLE, La. (KALB News Channel 5) -- On Feb 4, 2014, at 4:00 p.m., three individuals were arrested in an apartment located on Cleco Drive in Pineville, according to a statement released by Pineville Police Department. 

PPD reported that a citizen gave them a tip concerning a disturbance in the area. After arriving, officers met with resident Laronda Nelson, 25, and two other subjects, Nathaniel Gilbert, 25, of Harris Drive, Alexandria,and Deandre Taylor, 25, of Palmetto Street, Pineville.

Officers say they saw narcotics in plain view and subsequent investigation allowed the officers to seize over three thousand dollars in cash, over eight pounds of marijuana, large amounts of both Xanax and Methadone pills, and a vehicle belonging to one of the suspects.

According to the release, all three suspects were arrested for Possession of CDS I/Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Possession of CDS II/Methadone with Intent to Distribute, Possession of CDS IV/Xanax with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Disturbing the Peace.
