Clouds and a north wind kept afternoon temperatures in the 40s. Oakdale and Opelousas hit 48 degrees while Gum Springs in Winn Parish only made it up to 39 degrees. The long-term daily average is 61 and the record is a warm 84 set in 1957.

A disturbance aloft was move quickly through the southern jetstream tonight and bring a brief round of a wintry mix to most of central Louisiana Thursday morning. Accumulations of one inch remain possible. Stay informed on road conditions and school closures.
