PROVENCAL, La. (KALB News Channel 5) - Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Deputies have arrested two Provencal men in connection with a residential burglary in the Provencal community.

According to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Office, on Thursday, February 6th, at approximately 5:49 a.m., deputies assigned to the NPSO Patrol Division responded to a residential burglary in the 2000 block of DeSoto Street, in Provencal.

Deputies said that when they arrived, they talked with the co-occupants of the residence and learned entry had been gained through the front door on two different occasions.

Deputies believe the burglaries occurred on January 31st, and on or about February 5th, while both co-occupants of the residence were away.

Taken in the burglaries were:  a Mosino 32-inch flat screen television, Dinex 32-inch flat screen television, and a Sony PlayStation 3, valued at approximately $1000 dollars.

During the process of the investigation, deputies developed "persons of interest" in the case.

Deputies located both suspects in the Provencal area, and transported them to the NPSO Criminal Investigations Division for interview purposes.

During those interviews, deputies developed information that the stolen items were sold in the Natchitoches area.

Michael Joseph Orsborn, 20, of Provencal, was booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center charged with 2-counts of Simple Burglary and 1-count of Theft by Fraud.

Jesse Robert Kijanski, 21 of Provencal, was also booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center charged with 2-counts of Simple Burglary, and 2-counts of Theft by Fraud.

Both Orsborn and Kijanski remain in the Natchitoches Detention Center awaiting bond.

Deputies say the suspects confessed to the burglaries.

The stolen items have been recovered.
