Kidnapping arrest in Alexandria

ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB News Channel 5) - On Feb. 11, 2014, Alexandria Police Department reported officers were dispatched to a residence in the 3800 Block of Spencer Street in reference to a reported battery.

Upon arrival, the investigation found that following a domestic related altercation, the victim, a 27 year old female from Alexandria, was battered and forced into a vehicle by Honore against her will, according to APD.

APD says the victim then jumped out of the vehicle at her first opportunity and called police. Honore was taken into custody at the Spencer Street location without incident. The victim was not seriously injured.

Officers arrest Keith W. Honore, 52, of Alexandria and charged him with one count Second Degree Kidnapping and one count Simple Battery.

This incident is still under investigation and no other details are being released at this time.
