Do Stroke Patients Behind The Wheel Pose A Danger?

More than half of stroke survivors return to driving, yet only five percent undergo a formal driving evaluation before hitting the road.

Researchers from the Medical University of South Carolina studied more than one hundred stroke patients. One in ten who returned to driving said their stroke had significantly affected their ability to perform daily activities.

About half of those who started to drive again said they limited their time on the road.
