ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB News Channel 5) - Phaedra Parks of the TV show "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" was in Alexandria on February 17.

Parks was signing her new book "Secrets of the Southern Belle: How to be Nice, Work Hard, Look Pretty, Have Fun and Never Have an Off Moment."

The book covers fashion, relationships, etiquette, southern cuisine and more.

People from all over the state came to get their copy of the book signed and to meet Parks.

"She's a lawyer, attorney, she's a mother, she's always--she's a diva. She's a real southern belle. She's got style, she's got class, and she's just a prosperous black woman," said Cynthia Bosby, who attended the signing.

Parks also released an Amazon best selling fitness DVD early last year.
