RAPIDES PARISH, La. (KALB News Channel 5) - On February 14, 2014, Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office Detectives assigned to the Sex Offender Registration Section made an arrest of a sex offender.

The offender, identified as Paul Dedeaux, 44 of 101 Al Street, Pineville, had not complied with his mandatory requirements by law, according to RPSO.

After the investigation was completed by Detectives, a warrant for Dedeaux was secured for him on February 4.

RPSO reports that Dedeaux, who is a Tier-2 offender, was arrested for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender and for failing to appear for his Semi-Annual renewal periodic registration.

Dedeaux was arrested without incident and transported to the Rapides Parish Detention Center for booking.

Dedeaux was later released on a $5,000.00 bond.

A Tier-2 offender must report to the Sex Offender Registry Detectives semi annually for 25 years after their sentence is imposed.
