Arrest made in copper wire burglary

ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB News Channel 5) - On March 5, 2014, at 12:10 PM, Alexandria Police Department officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1300 Block of McNutt Drive in reference to a burglary.

The complainant stated they saw a male subject coming out of the back yard of their neighbor's residence, carrying rolls of copper wire, according to APD.

 

Responding officers said they saw the subject who was had fled on foot.

APD reported the area was searched and officers quickly located Lloyd Felter Jr., 51, of Alexandria at a nearby convenient store.

Felter was arrested without further incident and transported to the Rapides Parish Detention Center for booking.

 

Felter was charged with 1 count Simple Burglary.

This incident is still under investigation and no other details are available for release at this time.
