Course Information:

  • The average time of completion is 35-45 minutes.
  • The Walking Dead Escape is not a race. No one is timed, and you are not required to run, but the slow usually die for a reason.
  • Be prepared to climb, crawl, and slide.
  • Depending on the encountered Walker, you may need to move briskly or lightly jog in an effort to avoid infection.
  • You will not be disqualified if you cannot complete an obstacle.
  • The course has been specifically designed for participants with a wide range of abilities. Each obstacle is created to include an "easier route" for participants with limited physical abilities.
  • The Evacuation Route will feature multiple obstacles such as cargo nets and barricades.
  • There are water stations on course.

General Participant Rules

  • Minimum Age to Participate
  • All Walkers and Survivors under the age of 18 require a parent or guardian present to sign a waiver form (signed on-site or, if parent or guardian is not present, participant may bring a signed, notarized waiver). Should participants under 16 not have a form of photo ID, Parent/Guardian photo ID will be accepted.
  • Walker tickets are available through online registration only. Walk-up purchases of Walker tickets will not be available on the day of the event.
  • On the day of the event, Survivors and Walkers are expected to provide photo ID only. There are no hard tickets or confirmation printouts necessary.
  • All participants are expected to be respectful, safe, and courteous on and off the course. The course was designed to create a fun experience; common sense applies.
  • Absolutely no weapons allowed (real or otherwise).
  • Costumes are allowed.
  • Sensible footwear applies – close-toed shoes/sneakers strongly suggested.
  • No handheld devices (cameras, video cameras, water bottles, etc.) are allowed on the course.
  • Go-pro cams are allowed.
  • All registrations are final with no refunds.
  • All decisions by officials are final and binding.
  • Any Participant who does not comply with the aforementioned rules will be banned from participation.

Survivor Rules

  • Survivors are encouraged to arrive 30 minutes prior to their wave times in order to register.
  • The goal of the Survivor is to make it to the Evacuation Zone without any contact with Walkers as the Government believes infection can be spread by touch.
  • We ask that Survivors do not "fight back" should you come in contact with a Walker. There is no point – you're doomed anyways.
  • Government Scientists will be waiting at the Evacuation Zone to perform a highly confidential scan to determine whether or not participants have been infected by the virus.
  • If you come in contact with a Walker during the course, you will still be able to complete the course in its entirety.
  • You must start with your registered Evacuation wave time in order to participate.
  • Survivors must be 14 years of age on the date of the event to participate – no exceptions.
  • Any Participant who does not comply with the aforementioned rules will be banned from participation.

Walker Rules

  • The goal of the Walker is to haunt your assigned grounds as brutally and as brainlessly and brutally as possible.
  • All Walkers receive professional makeup and training prior to their shift.
  • Walkers must arrive 2 hours prior to their registered wave time for registration, makeup and training. No exceptions for late arrivals.
  • Clothes are not provided! Walkers should bring clothes they don't mind having ruined/altered. Fake blood can stain! Your outfit should cover up everything and what you choose to wear will be incorporated into your makeup!
  • Walkers will receive further instruction on what to wear, etc. via email correspondence from The Walking Dead Escape officials within a week of the event. This information is proprietary to Walkers prior to the event as to surprise and scare Survivors as much as possible.
  • You must start with your registered shift in order to participate.
  • Walkers must be 14 years of age on the date of the event to participate – no exceptions.
  • Walkers can keep their makeup on after finishing their shift.
  • Any Walker who does not comply with the aforementioned rules will be banned from participation.

Registration and Refund Policies

  • All entries are final with no refunds.
  • This rule applies for Survivors and Walkers.

Waiver

  • Waivers will be available on Evacuation day during registration.
  • Waivers must be signed and turned in at registration before Walkers and Survivors can participate.
