Want To Have A Baby? Don't Worry So Much

Posted: Updated:

Women trying to get pregnant have long suspected stress might play a role in infertility problems. Now new research suggests it's true.

Doctors at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center tracked nearly 400 women for a year. All were trying to conceive a child. Those with higher levels of a biomarker of stress found in saliva samples were nearly a third less likely to get pregnant each month.

They were also twice as likely as other women to go the whole year without getting pregnant.
