Two arrested in Alexandria Burglary case

ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB News Channel 5) - Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office detectives have made arrests in two separate daytimeresidential burglaries. 

OnFebruary 18, 2014, RPSO deputies reported they responded to a burglary thatoccurred in the 300 block of LA Hwy 470 in Alexandria. 

The victimstated nearly everything was stolen out of the residence and they had no knownsuspect, RPSO reported. 

RPSO detectives initiated their investigation and resulted inthe identification of two suspects, Omni Michelle Mylott, 27, of Alexandria, and HilaryBarnes, 30, of Cheneyville. 

Warrants were issued for the suspects and they were located andarrested without incident.

Each were booked with 3 counts of Simple Burglaryamong other charges and later released. 

On March 23, 2014,RPSO deputies responded to another daytime burglary in the 4100 block ofEngland Drive in Alexandria. 

RPSO detectives initiated theirinvestigation and again determined once again that Omni Mylott wasinvolved, according to RPSO. 

During the investigation detectives learned of Mylott's involvementin other crimes involving burglaries and thefts. 

Mylott was againarrested on warrants as was Barnes and both remain in jail at this time. Detectives say the investigation is continuing and more are arrest areexpected. 

Mylott was charged with 3 counts of Simple Burglary, 1 count of Burglary of a Dwelling, 3 counts of Theft under $300, 1 count of Theft $300-$500, 1 count of Theft under $100, 1 count of Criminal Damage $500-$50,000, and 2 counts of Forgery.

Barnes was charged with 3 counts of Simple Burglary and 2 counts of Obstruction of Justice.

This makde Mylotts 19th booking and Barnes 18thbooking  into the Rapides Parish Detention Center.
