Natchitoches Jazz/R&B Festival to feature The Marshall Tucker Band

NATCHITOCHES, La. (KALB News Channel 5) - The Board of Directors of the Natchitoches Jazz/R&B Festival have announced that legendary southern rock band, The Marshall Tucker Band, will headline this year's 19th annual festival on Friday, April 4 and Saturday, April 5, 2014 in downtown Natchitoches.

This year, four stages will be set up on the riverbank of Cane River Lake with entertainment including Bon Journey on Friday night, the legendary Marshall Tucker Band on Saturday, along with  Rick Derringer appearing with Johnny Earthquake and the Moondogs, L.A. Roxx and much more Jazz, rock, country, R&B, blues, Zydeco, bluegrass and more!

Friday, April 4, 6:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.

Tickets: Adults $5, Students $3, Under 12-Free

Saturday, April 5,  11:30 a.m. - 11 p.m.

Headliner: The Marshall Tucker Band

Performs Sat., April 5 @ 7:55 p.m.-9:25 p.m.

Tickets: Adults $10, Students $6, Under 12-Free

Tickets for Both Nights: Adults $12, Students $8, Under 12-Free

    A slow "farmer's" rain fell across the area today as the area was blasted with tropical moisture to the south. As high pressure setup across the eastern U.S., tropical moisture banked up against it and consolidated across the northwestern Gulf of Mexico. As a trough approached from the west, the high pressure pushed eastward allowing the tropical moisture to finally move northward in bulk.
