RAPIDES PARISH, La. (KALB News Channel 5) Domestic dispute leads to arrest of Rapides Parish couple.

The Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office made two arrests on March 1, after Deputies responded to a disturbance reported on LA Hwy 457.

According to RPSO, Jennifer Ahart, 35, of Alexandria alleged she was struck with a chain during a dispute between John Richmond Davis and Michael McLain, 42, of Pineville. Physical evidence led deputies to take Davis into custody for one count of Aggravated Battery.

Upon further investigation, RPSO Detectives learned that Ahart and McLain were accused of taking two Harley Davidson collector's knives belonging to Davis and selling them.

RPSO said Ahart and McLain were both arrested on charges of battery and theft. They were booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center and later released on bond.

According to RPSO, the knives, valued at over $1500, were recovered in the Tioga area and returned to Davis.
