RAPIDES PARISH, La. (KALB News Channel 5) Woman arrested in hit and run incident that occurred earlier this year.

The Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office arrested a woman on March 19, 2014, who was involved in a hit and run accident on Jan. 8 at Dantzler's Flea Market on Masonic Drive.

After the report, deputies searched the area for the suspect and vehicle, but did not locate them. RPSO Detectives started an investigation and obtained video footage from the flea market of the vehicle striking the complainant's vehicle and leaving the scene.

RPSO said they were able to obtain license plate information when the complainant saw the suspect vehicle parked at a business in Pineville, La. a few weeks later. Detectives said they found the vehicle was registered to a recently deceased person, and Chandra Lasyone of Boyce had custody of the truck.

Warrants were issued for the Hit and Run, and Lasyone was taken into custody by RPSO after being released from the Avoyelle's Parish Jail. RPSO said Lasyone was booked on the Hit and Run charge and later released on a $250.00 bond.
