Confirmed Tornado in Ball, LA

At 4:41pm Roger Erickson at the NWS (National Weather Service) in Lake Charles has confirmed that a small EF1 tornado touched down briefly in Ball, LA.
The tornado touched down at 9:40pm, 1mile NW of Ball and lifted at 9:41, 1mile NE of Ball. So the tornado was on the ground for approximately 1 minute. The path was approximately 1.5 miles long and 200 yards wide.


The tornado did cause property damage to affected locations to include damaging several homes, vehicles and property, in Ball. 
Below is the Survey Summary from the report that was issued this afternoon.

SURVEY SUMMARY: A TORNAD0 TOUCHED DOWN NORTH OF HWY 1204 IN
BALL...DAMAGING SEVERAL HOMES...VEHICLES...AND PROPERTY. A HOUSE
ON THE END OF EASTBROOK TRACE HAD A LARGE TREE COME DOWN THROUGH
THE HOME. ON COOLEY DR...A TRUCK AND A CAR WERE HIT BY FALLING
TREES. SEVERAL OTHER HOMES...BARNS...AND OUTBUILDINGS HAD TREES
FALL ON THEM...CAUSING LESS SEVERE DAMAGE ON TALL TIMBERS
LANE...US HWY 165...AND BURMA ROAD. BETWEEN 25-50 TREES WERE
ESTIMATED TO HAVE BEEN SNAPPED...MOST OF WHICH WERE SOFT-WOOD
PINES.
