Brooke Buford

Weekend Anchor / Reporter

bbuford@kalb.com

Brooke Buford rejoined the KALB news team in March 2014 as an anchor/reporter. Brooke previously worked at KALB from 2011-2012, but left the job to report at the CBS affiliate in Portland, ME - where she worked for a year and a half.

Brooke comes to Louisiana from Baltimore, MD where she was born and raised. She graduated from Towson University in Towson, MD with a bachelor's degree in mass communication.

Brooke gained hands-on experience in television broadcasting as an intern for both local news and at the network.  She interned with ABC News "World News with Diane Sawyer" in New York City and "Good Morning America" in Washington, DC. She also interned for WJZ-TV in Baltimore.

Although Brooke is not from Louisiana, she has roots here. Her father was born in Eunice and her grandfather is from Lake Charles. She still has family in the state.

Brooke is extremely happy to be back in the state she considers to be a second home. She's even more excited to return to warmer weather and no threat of a blizzard.
